The D4 158 mm Durston rolling mill is more than just a larger D2. Besides the addition of lower side rolls this rolling mill has thicker output rolls and a reduction gear system that allows for the use of a second handle if faster roll speed is required. 

The primary design feature of the D4 158 mm is the larger 158 mm wide roller width.

Side frames manufactured from a one piece cast iron construction for optimal strength and rigidity.

Roller bearings are incorporated in the rolling mill which makes rolling incredibly easy and smooth.
