GRS Stone Setting Course

Aktiv Guld offers an intensive 5-day stone setting course in collaboration with GRS.

Here you will learn advanced techniques while still covering the solid basics needed to become a successful stone setter. Whether you are just starting out as a stone setter or if you are already a seasoned professional, this is the place to upgrade your level of skills.

At this course, you will learn:

• Correct setup and handling of all GRS equipment and tools like microscope, graver- and sharpening systems, tool and workpiece-holders, burs, gravers, etc.
• Tool sharpening in theory and practice

• Preparing the workpiece for stone-setting of round gemstones by marking, drilling, milling and cutting
• Stone-setting techniques for round gemstones like prong, burnish, bead-pavé and channel
• Prong setting for oval gemstones

All benches are equipped with stereo zoom microscope, GRS equipment like GraverMax and microblock, Osada micromotor, and much more.

Aktiv Guld is the only place in Scandinavia where you can learn to work with the GRS equipment from a professional certified instructor.

Upon registration, a deposit of DKK 5,000 is required. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the course starts.

If cancellation is made more than 14 days before the first day of the course, 70% of the course fee will be refunded. If cancellation is made after this, the fee will not be refunded.
