This set of test acid consists of 6 bottles: test acid for silver, 8 kt., 14 kt., 18 kt., 21.6 kt., 1 kontrastol cleaning fluid and 1 stone for gold testing.

Testing with stone:

1. Make a 3-4 cm mark with your test item on the stone.
2. Apply a drop of the 8 kt. test acid. If the mark is unchanged, the fine gold content must be higher.
3. Apply a drop of the 14 kt. test acid etc.
4. When the mark rises, the fine gold content matches the fine gold content noted on the test acid.
5. Clean the stone after test with kontrastol.

Direct testing on the item:

1. Mark the item using a file and apply the test acid.
2. If the test acid dissolves or changes in colour, the fine gold content is lower.
3. If the mark is unchanged, the fine gold content matches the fine gold content noted on the test acid.
4. When testing for silver, the colour will change to a darker red, if not, it is silver plated.

• Avoid direct contact with the product. Wear plastic gloves.
• Use the test acid under ventilated conditions.
• Keep out of reach of children.
