In our extensive range you will find several models of hammer in many different price ranges. You are therefore assured of being able to find precisely the hammer that you need. Aktiv Guld’s personnel are famed for their extensive knowhow and are always at your disposal with regard to questions or good advice concerning your next purchase. In Aktiv Guld’s range there is a hammer for every complex task which a goldsmith may be faced with in his or her day-to-day work. Here you can find, among other things, goldsmith and silversmith hammers, watchmaker hammers and riveting hammers. Among goldsmiths and silversmiths there are many different variants of the high quality Fretz brand. You can find models such as embossing hammers, raising hammers, planishing hammers and texturing hammers. When faced with such a broad range, advice and guidance from professionals can be very useful. As such, Aktiv Guld’s competent team is always at your disposal should you be in need of help.
The raising hammer is particularly well-suited to shaping items such as bowls. This hammer is available in both narrow and wide versions. With spherical ends in different sizes, the embossing hammer is used to fashion metal into round shapes. Here you can find hammers where the head is made of stainless steel and the shaft is made of American ash. The riveting hammer also has a stainless steel head, but is distinguished by the fact that one end is flat and the other is chisel-shaped, which makes it perfect for riveting work.
If, on the other hand, you are looking for a hammer that is suitable for bigger metal tasks, we also have hammers to tackle such jobs. With the sledge hammer from Fretz you get a heavy cross pein hammer with a wedge-shaped end that we at Aktiv Guld recommend for forging of bigger metal tasks. In addition, you can find two types of planishing hammers in Aktiv Guld’s extensive range. One of the planishing hammers is from the high quality Fretz brand, and is a classic working hammer for smoothing out metal. If you are more interested in a spring-loaded planishing hammer, however, you can also find such a tool in Aktiv Guld’s range. This hammer is the perfect tool for working with bangles, flat pendants and name plates, etc.
In Aktiv Guld’s range you can also find wooden hammers that are ideal for repair work and which ensure that you do not damage the metal when fashioning items. Wooden hammers with or without a conical head are particularly useful if you are knocking pins into watch strap links or do not wish to leave any marks in the metal. Our range also includes two watchmaker hammers consisting of a nylon end and a brass end, which makes them the perfect tools for watchmakers.
At Aktiv Guld we also have plastic hammers that have interchangeable end pieces in both nylon and plastic. These hammers with soft ends help to ensure that no marks are left on the metal and are therefore ideal for watchmakers and goldsmiths. You can also find accessories for the different hammers in Aktiv Guld’s extensive range. With a set of nylon ends or plastic ends you can extend the life of your hammer, in addition to which you can purchase a replacement shaft for the chasing hammer such that the latter can continue to be used.
Recycling is a key element in Aktiv Guld’s production. In 2015 the UN defined its 17 Global Goals For Sustainable Development, which we at Aktiv Guld find helpful when discussing what we already do in terms of sustainability and what we need to do better. Goal 12 is focused on responsible consumption and production, and, as such, this goal is key to us at Aktiv Guld. At Aktiv Guld we only sell gold that is certified as recycled and we support similar certification schemes for silver.
In addition, our focus is on Sustainable Development Goals 4 and 8, which are based on quality education and decent work and economic growth. At our address in Vallensbæk we hold our engraving and stone-setting courses several times a year. It is important to us at Aktiv Guld to maintain traditional methods of craftsmanship, in addition to which we would like to strengthen the industry with further training and keep it up to date with the latest techniques and technologies.
At Aktiv Guld we have particular focus on the idea that a place of employment should be adapted to the people who work there – and not the other way round. This means that ergonomics are paramount in the machines that we sell. Good ergonomics protect those that use the machines from physical problems later in life and ensure that every individual can get more out of his or her time. This particularly applies to our range of hammers, where several models have particular focus on ergonomics, with the weight being carefully balanced and the handle helping to provide the perfect grip.
